Instant Millet Poha Breakfast Bowl — Wholesome & Ready in Minutes

A warm, wholesome millet poha bowl ready in under 10 minutes — no maida, no preservatives. Full recipe and serving ideas inside.

Mornings in Indian homes are rarely slow. Someone’s rushing to school, someone’s late for work, and breakfast somehow always ends up being the thing that gets skipped — or replaced with something that isn’t really food.

Guna Instant Millet Poha was made for exactly this moment. A warm, wholesome breakfast bowl that’s ready in minutes, made from real millets, and loved by every member of the family — from kids to grandparents.

No compromise. No rush. Just goodness in a bowl.

Why Millet Poha?

Traditional poha is made from flattened rice. Guna’s version upgrades that with millets — grains that are denser in nutrition, lighter on digestion, and far more nourishing to start your day with.

  • Ragi Poha — rich in calcium, great for growing children and bone health
  • Jowar Poha — high in protein and fibre, ideal for weight-conscious adults
  • Pearl Millet Poha — iron-rich, great for energy and fighting fatigue
  • Black Rice Poha — antioxidant-rich, supports immunity and gut health

And the best part? No preservatives. No artificial flavours. Just real millet goodness.

What You’ll Need

Serves: 1–2 · Prep time: 2 minutes · Cook time: 3–5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Guna Instant Millet Poha (any variant)
  • 1½ cups hot water
  • 1 tsp oil or ghee
  • ½ tsp mustard seeds
  • 4–5 curry leaves
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 green chilli (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander and lemon juice to finish

How To Make It

Step 1 — Soak. Add the Guna Millet Poha to a bowl. Pour hot water over it. Cover and let it soak for 2–3 minutes. The poha will soften and absorb the water beautifully. Drain any excess water.

Step 2 — Temper. Heat ghee or oil in a small pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add curry leaves, green chilli and onion. Sauté for 1–2 minutes until the onion softens slightly.

Step 3 — Mix. Add the soaked millet poha to the pan. Add salt to taste. Toss gently on a low flame for 1 minute so everything comes together.

Step 4 — Finish & serve. Transfer to a bowl. Squeeze lemon juice on top and garnish with fresh coriander. Serve warm.
